  • Advise clients on public procurement, including tender preparation and review, bid compliance, framework agreements, contract award procedures, and challenge/remedies processes.
  • Draft and negotiate Service Level Agreements (SLAs), pricing and payment schedules, liability and indemnity frameworks, warranties, and termination provisions.
  • Commit to meeting established SLAs, such as a 24-hour turnaround time, for accepted work.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience practicing commercial or procurement law, gained in private practice or an in-house legal department.
  • Deep familiarity with commercial contracting principles, including services, supply, distribution, licensing, liability, indemnities, and termination clauses.
  • Demonstrated grounding in public procurement, with experience in public tender processes and procurement regulation (*, EU procurement directives or local equivalents), ideally from both the bidder and contracting-authority perspectives.
  • An active license and good standing with the bar or law society of Saudi Arabia.
  • Professional indemnity insurance maintained or a willingness to obtain it in line with local requirements.

Essential Skills

  • Strong negotiation instincts: Ability to identify key deal points and distinguish them from extraneous details.
  • Commercial fluency: Capacity to interpret pricing models, understand the underlying business context of contracts, and ask pertinent questions.
