Role Purpose

The Data Privacy Specialist is responsible for overseeing SANS’s data privacy initiatives. This role ensures compliance with relevant data protection laws and regulations, serving as the primary point of contact for all personal data protection-related matters within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing data privacy initiatives to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for all matters related to personal data protection.
• Providing guidance on personal data protection policies and procedures.
• Monitoring data processing activities involving personal data.
• Ensuring adherence to established KPIs, agreed budgets, and adopted policies and procedures related to data privacy.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in data privacy or a related field.
• Demonstrated understanding of data protection laws and regulations.
