Director of Marketing & Communications

About the Role

Grand Hyatt is seeking a Director of Marketing & Communications to develop, implement, and manage the hotel's integrated marketing and communications strategy. This full-time role is based in The Red Sea and aims to position Grand Hyatt The Red Sea as a leading luxury destination resort. The Director will oversee brand management, public relations, digital marketing, social media, content creation, partnerships, and events to maximize brand awareness, drive direct revenue, and support commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the annual Marketing & Communications Plan, aligning with the hotel's Business Plan and managing budgets.
• Protect and strengthen the Grand Hyatt brand image, ensuring all communications and assets comply with brand standards.
• Develop and execute the annual PR strategy, building media relationships and overseeing PR agency performance.
• Manage digital marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and direct bookings, including website content, SEO/SEM, and CRM initiatives.
• Develop the annual content calendar, manage social media channels, and produce engaging content.
• Formulate influencer marketing strategies and manage partnerships with luxury travel creators, airlines, and tourism partners.
• Support Sales and Revenue Management by developing promotional campaigns and optimizing commercial performance.
• Develop relationships with government entities and local businesses, supporting Hyatt's ESG and local cultural initiatives.
• Lead pre-opening marketing activities, including strategy development, content creation, launch campaigns, and media familiarization trips.

Budget and Performance Management

• Prepare and manage the annual Marketing & Communications budget.
• Measure campaign effectiveness through ROI analysis.
• Monitor key performance indicators including brand awareness, website traffic, direct bookings, social media engagement, and media coverage.
• Prepare monthly commercial reports for the Executive Committee and Hyatt Regional Office.

Leadership and Collaboration

• Lead and develop the Marketing & Communications team.
• Manage external agencies and suppliers.
• Foster collaboration with Sales, Revenue, Operations, and Corporate Marketing teams.
• Coach team members and support Hyatt's talent development initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing and communications roles.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies.
• Experience in brand management, public relations, digital marketing, and social media.
• Strong understanding of commercial objectives and revenue generation.

Working Relationships

This role involves close collaboration with Hyatt Regional Marketing, Revenue Management, Sales, Red Sea Global, Saudi Tourism Authority, PR agencies, creative agencies, and key stakeholders to ensure consistent brand positioning and commercial success.
