About the Role

SNC-Lavalin Fayez Engineering is seeking an Electrician to join their team. This full-time role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and wiring across residential, commercial, or industrial environments. The Electrician ensures that all electrical systems operate safely and efficiently, adhering to applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations. The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform reactive and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) activities for LV/MV systems, low current systems, and control panels, providing first response and interacting daily with the reporting supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with BEC and Client Contractual FMA & FMR.
• Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, power distribution, and control systems in commercial and industrial facilities.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance of electrical systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions in systems and equipment such as FACP Panels, BMS System, UPS System, PAVA System, Fan motors, Pumps, Control panels, Lighting Panels, Distribution Panels, Circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures.
• Perform routine cleaning and servicing of electrical components to ensure cleanliness and efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate and prioritize maintenance tasks, ensuring timely completion of work orders.
• Document all maintenance and repair activities, including equipment status, work performed, and parts used, in maintenance logs and reports.
• Diagnose and repair system malfunctions requiring specific technical knowledge and relevant qualifications, understanding time and material requirements, under general supervision.
• Seek clarification and technical support when needed, escalating issues as appropriate.
• Respond promptly to service requests and emergency callouts, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to facility operations.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical systems and equipment as required.
• Follow up with the supervisor to close activities/events on time.
• Perform other assigned tasks as requested.

Qualifications and Skills

• 5-10 years of experience in electrical systems installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex electrical malfunctions.
• Familiarity with building automation systems and controls.
• Commitment to complying with all safety protocols, regulations, and company policies.
• Ability to provide guidance and support to junior technicians.
• Proactive in staying updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to electrical systems.
