Engineering Technician Civil works

About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Engineering Technician specializing in Civil Works to join their team in Medina, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience, focusing on the application and maintenance of finishes within the property.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to property walls, ceilings, and furniture using brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
• Apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces for finish coats.
• Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or using water and/or abrasive blasting.
• Cover surfaces with appropriate material for protection during painting and post relevant paint signs.
• Clean and store paint, painting tools, and equipment in designated areas.
• Coordinate with vendors to modify colors of paint, stain, or varnish.

Safety and Operational Compliance

• Adhere to all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.

Guest Service and Teamwork

• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate with others using clear and professional language.
• Support the team to achieve common goals and ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Capability to move up and down a ladder.
• Dexterity to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.

Additional Duties

The Engineering Technician will perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors, contributing to the overall maintenance and aesthetic upkeep of the property.
