Engineering Technician HVAC

About the Role

Sheraton is seeking an Engineering Technician - HVAC to join their team. This full-time role involves the inspection, repair, and maintenance of HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment, ensuring optimal property temperature and efficient energy usage. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment.
• Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of the mechanical plant.
• Monitor and control property temperature, as well as analyze energy and utilities usage.
• Calibrate controls, gauges, meters, and other relevant equipment.
• Assemble, install, test, repair, and maintain electrical systems or electronic wiring.
• Assemble, install, and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings, and valves.
• Perform routine pool and spa maintenance.
• Adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing service needs.
• Communicate professionally with others and foster positive working relationships.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, and recommend improvements for organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.
• Perform physical tasks including reaching overhead, moving in confined or elevated spaces, navigating uneven surfaces, climbing stairs and ladders, grasping objects, and assisting with lifting objects weighing in excess of 100 pounds.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Execute other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Certifications: EPA Universal Certification, HVAC Certification.
• License: Valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this role.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within the engineering department at Sheraton, where adherence to safety and quality standards is paramount.
