About the Role

Eram Talent is seeking a Horticulturalist - Indoor Gardens to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 0-1 years of experience. The role focuses on the care, maintenance, propagation, and presentation of indoor plant collections and horticultural displays, ensuring high standards of plant health, quality, sustainability, and visitor experience.

Role Context and Objectives

The Indoor Gardens team is responsible for maintaining diverse indoor plant collections. This position provides practical and technical support across various horticultural activities, including plant establishment, propagation, irrigation, nutrition, greenhouse operations, and environmental monitoring. The role also supports plant health management and visitor engagement, working closely with the Horticulturalist, Botanic Garden Curator, and the wider horticulture team.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain indoor plant collections, displays, and controlled growing environments such as greenhouses.
• Perform routine plant care including watering, pruning, repotting, fertilisation, plant replacement, and general maintenance.
• Monitor plant health to identify pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, and environmental stress.
• Support and implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies and appropriate plant-health treatments.
• Monitor environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, light, ventilation, irrigation, growing media, and plant nutrition.
• Maintain accurate plant inventories, labels, databases, and horticultural records.
• Support plant propagation using various methods including seeds, cuttings, and division.
• Ensure high horticultural, aesthetic, cleanliness, and visitor-experience standards.
• Support greenhouse operations, indoor display maintenance, and plant collection management.
• Collaborate with horticulture teams, botanists, contractors, and other multidisciplinary teams.

Experience and Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in horticulture or a related field.
• Practical and technical knowledge in plant care, propagation, and pest management.

Team and Collaboration

This role involves working closely with the Horticulturalist, Botanic Garden Curator, and the broader horticulture team. Collaboration extends to botanists, contractors, and other multidisciplinary teams to achieve horticultural objectives and maintain high standards for indoor plant collections.
