The Role of Hygiene Officer

Accor is seeking a Hygiene Officer to join the team at FAENA The Red Sea. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and is central to ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene across the property. The Hygiene Officer will play a critical role in maintaining compliance with all relevant standards and regulations, contributing to a safe and healthy environment for guests and team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards throughout the property.
• Conduct regular hygiene inspections and audits in all food preparation and service areas.
• Monitor and maintain HACCP procedures and food safety management systems.
• Coordinate routine microbiological and water quality testing as required.
• Conduct hygiene and food safety training sessions for team members.
• Investigate hygiene-related incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain hygiene records, reports, and documentation in accordance with company standards.
• Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Work closely with the Culinary, Stewarding, and Food & Beverage teams to maintain the highest hygiene standards.
• Support pre-opening hygiene initiatives, audits, and operational readiness activities.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Hygiene Officer position should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in hygiene and food safety management. A strong understanding of HACCP procedures and local health and safety regulations is essential for this role. The ability to conduct training sessions and maintain detailed records is also required.

Collaboration and Environment

The Hygiene Officer will operate in a collaborative environment, working closely with various operational teams including Culinary, Stewarding, and Food & Beverage.
