Junior Electrical design engineer

About the Role

AQSSE is seeking a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in the Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience. The role involves assisting in the design, development, and documentation of electrical systems for various industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects.

Role Overview

The Junior Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for preparing engineering drawings, calculations, and technical specifications. This position supports project execution while ensuring all designs comply with applicable industry standards and client requirements. The role demands coordination with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of electrical power, lighting, grounding, and control systems.
• Prepare electrical drawings, layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and schematics.
• Perform basic electrical calculations, including load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, and short-circuit calculations.
• Develop equipment and material specifications.
• Support the preparation of cable schedules, panel schedules, and bills of materials (BOM).
• Review and interpret engineering documents, drawings, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines such as mechanical, instrumentation, civil, and process engineering.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards such as IEC, IEEE, NEC, and local regulations.
• Assist in technical reviews, design verification, and site support activities.
• Participate in project meetings and provide engineering support throughout project execution.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in electrical design engineering.
• Proficiency in preparing electrical drawings, layouts, and schematics.
• Ability to perform basic electrical calculations.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as IEC, IEEE, NEC, and local regulations.
