About the Role
Hill International is seeking a Lead Planner to join our team in a full-time capacity. This critical role is responsible for driving planning and schedule reporting specifically for the closeout portfolio, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and on schedule. The assignment is anticipated to run until the end of 2026, with a possibility of extension based on project needs.
Role Context and Objectives
The Lead Planner plays a crucial part in establishing and maintaining robust scheduling practices for project closeout. This involves setting schedule standards, developing comprehensive integrated schedules, and providing essential analytical insights. The individual will deliver critical path analysis and detailed progress reports, directly supporting informed decision-making throughout the closeout phase. Collaboration with various internal teams and external stakeholders is central to ensuring effective planning and timely project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage schedule reporting and define the reporting cycle for the closeout portfolio.
- Establish planning standards, coding requirements, and schedule templates.
- Develop and maintain integrated schedules for demobilization, preservation, and closeout activities.
- Prepare schedule forecasts, including milestones, activities, and closure dates.
- Conduct critical path analysis, float analysis, and comprehensive schedule health assessments.
- Lead schedule review meetings with project, construction, and stakeholder teams.
- Assess schedule updates for accuracy, logical sequencing, and reported progress.
- Consolidate individual contract schedules into a unified portfolio view, identifying cross-contract dependencies.
- Identify schedule slippage, constraints, and forecast changes, evaluating their impact on closeout objectives.
- Provide schedule substantiation for claims, disputes, and final account reviews.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 20 years of experience in planning and scheduling roles, preferably within large-scale projects or portfolio management.
Assignment Duration
This is a full-time position with an initial assignment duration until the end of 2026. There is a possibility of extension based on project requirements and performance.
