About the Role

UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company is seeking a Lead Planner to oversee staff planning and ensure the application of best practices in project controls and planning across all projects. This full-time role involves highlighting overall progress, delays, and areas of concern to management, and providing support for delay analysis and complex project controls issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all project planning staff and activities, ensuring consistent application of planning and project controls best practices and compliance with company standards.
  • Develop, review, and maintain integrated project schedules covering engineering, procurement, construction, and start-up activities, ensuring schedule integrity through baseline control and formal change management.
  • Monitor overall project progress and performance, highlighting key risks, delays, variances, and concerns to senior management, and overseeing the preparation of progress dashboards and KPI reports.
  • Prepare and manage manpower forecasts and revenue projections aligned with approved schedules and project execution plans, monitoring daily manpower requirements.
  • Support projects in schedule risk assessments, delay analysis, and extension of time (EOT) evaluations, providing expert planning input on complex project controls issues and recovery strategies.
  • Review technical documents, programs, and workshop scopes to understand planning and execution impacts, and prepare planning-related responses to formal correspondence.
  • Coordinate planning interfaces between engineering, procurement, construction, cost control, and site teams to ensure schedule alignment and resolve constraints.
  • Ensure effective use of planning systems and tools, including Primavera P6 and ERP platforms such as SAP, supporting data integration and reporting consistency.
  • Support the implementation of HSE initiatives and ensure planning activities align with safety, quality, and cost objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 0-1 year of experience in a relevant planning or project controls role.
  • Demonstrated understanding of project controls and planning best practices.
  • Proficiency in planning systems and tools, including Primavera P6 and ERP platforms like SAP.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company, where the Lead Planner will work collaboratively with various project teams and senior management.
