Role Summary

The Life Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety of guests in the swimming area and maintaining the recreation facility. This full-time position involves active observation, rescue operations, and adherence to safety protocols, contributing to a safe and relaxing atmosphere for all guests. The role requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Observe the swimming area for dangerous conditions, unusual activities, and struggling swimmers.
• Utilize appropriate rescue techniques when swimmers require assistance.
• Promote and enforce the rules and regulations of the recreation facility.
• Identify situations where guests may not be able to safely participate in an activity and inform supervisors.
• Provide assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Obtain, fold, and stack towels according to company procedures.
• Wash, mop, and clean the pool deck.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, ensuring a professional appearance.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and co-workers.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move at speeds required to respond to work situations, including running, walking, or jogging.
• Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and objects exceeding 75 pounds with assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Capability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, and navigate ladders, stairs, and service ramps.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
