Manager of Inventory Monitoring

About the Role

King Abdullah bin Abdelaziz University is seeking a Manager of Inventory Monitoring to oversee and manage all responsibilities related to the Inventory Monitoring department. This full-time role involves comprehensive oversight of inventory movement, reporting, and verification processes within the automated system.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the Inventory Monitoring department, including preparing reports on inventory movement, receipts, disbursements, and returns of items in the automated system.
• Verify item paths and review item stock cards, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
• Review custody status in custody cards and monitor changes such as transportation, damage, or other relevant events.
• Control item movement in warehouses, supply rooms, emergency rooms, maintenance units, and workshops using item stock cards and supporting documents.
• Record permanent items issued as personal custody for employees, departments, sections, and affiliated sites in the automated custody cards (Form No. 8).
• Execute all procedures related to automatic recording settlements in item control cards and custody cards, tracking any changes within the automated system.
• Conduct periodic matching of restrictions in item control cards with item cards, saving matching records in the automated system for future reference.
• Provide relevant parties with necessary warehouse data and information regarding deficits, losses, damages, or other events, including estimating annual needs.
• Examine data on non-moving and overstocked items and provide recommendations.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of actual item balances in warehouses against recorded balances in item control cards to verify entry regularity.
• Prepare data on the value of deficits and increases in item balances based on inventory committee reports or General Auditing Bureau reports.
• Study inventory reports, extract inventory balances through the automated system, and assign values at the end of each fiscal year.
• Respect patients and their families to foster a patient-centered care culture.
• Participate in and support quality improvement and patient safety activities, either individually or as part of multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Material Management, Healthcare specialty (*, Pharmacist, Allied), Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management.
  • A minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.
• Preferred:
  • Master’s degree in Material Management, Healthcare specialty (*, Pharmacist, Allied), or other related fields.
  • 7 years of relevant experience.
