Job Description

About Hemab Therapeutics

Hemab is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing preventative treatments for serious, underserved bleeding disorders. The company's pipeline includes therapies designed to prevent bleeds before they occur, addressing various patient needs through different scientific approaches. Hemab operates with a patient-first and science-led approach, with primary locations in Cambridge, MA, USA, and Copenhagen, Denmark.

The Role of Medical Science Liaison, Middle East

Hemab Therapeutics is seeking a Medical Science Liaison for the Middle East region, based in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves building scientific relationships with clinicians, investigators, and patient communities across the GCC, with an immediate focus on supporting SOLARA site activation and investigator engagement in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain peer-level scientific relationships with hematologists, investigators, and care teams within GCC tertiary referral centers and specialist networks.
  • Support SOLARA site activation and investigator engagement in Saudi Arabia, collaborating with Development and Medical Affairs colleagues.
  • Translate field insights into actionable input for study recruitment, evidence generation, endpoint relevance, and regional medical strategy.
  • Lead balanced, data-driven scientific exchange regarding Hemab's science and rare bleeding disorders relevant to the company's pipeline.
  • Identify potential study sites and investigators, contributing regional knowledge to feasibility and recruitment planning.
  • Develop relationships with patient organizations and professional societies to enhance Hemab's understanding of patient needs and barriers to care.
  • Communicate complex scientific and clinical data to diverse regional audiences, including clinicians, researchers, and relevant health authorities.
  • Establish effective field medical operational procedures for the GCC as Hemab's presence in the region expands.

Work Environment and Expectations

Hemab is in a growth phase, which means structures and systems are often developed as needed rather than being pre-established. The individual in this role will contribute to defining operational approaches rather than inheriting a fully formed model. The role requires deliberate effort to bridge communication across multiple time zones and a broad regional territory. Due to rapid growth, priorities may shift more frequently than in larger, more established organizations. This environment suits individuals who are proactive in building processes and adapting to evolving priorities.

Why Join Hemab

Joining Hemab means contributing to the development of preventative treatments for serious bleeding disorders, offering patients the opportunity to prevent bleeds. This role provides an opportunity to make a significant impact, as individual decisions carry weight in turning promising science into patient-accessible treatments. Hemab is committed to treating its people with care, honesty, and respect, and strives for consistency in its hiring processes. The company builds balanced candidate slates and assesses all applicants against a single standard. Reasonable adjustments are provided during the hiring process upon request.

All applicants receive consideration for employment without regard to protected characteristics. Candidates with direct experience or exposure in bleeding disorders, coagulation, or closely related rare disease areas are encouraged to mention this briefly in their cover letter, though applicants without this specific background are also encouraged to apply.
