Job Description

About the Role

Sheraton is seeking a Mgr-Security I Saudi to assist the Director of Security in managing daily security operations. This full-time role focuses on ensuring the protection and safety of property assets, employees, and guests, as well as accident and fire prevention and response. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing emergency procedures.
  • Recommend follow-up actions for security breaches and conduct investigations of property asset losses.
  • Deploy security staff to effectively monitor and protect property assets.
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate Security safety and security management guidelines and procedures.
  • Complete proper documentation and report all employee accident and general liability incidents.
  • Conduct periodic patrols of the entire property and parking areas, maintaining required reports and documentation.
  • Identify and recommend ways to minimize physical hazards and unsafe work practices, implementing action plans to monitor and control risk.
  • Handle guest problems and complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts.
  • Keep abreast of local criminal activity that may impact the property.
  • Inspect all security equipment to ensure full functionality.
  • Provide means for obtaining necessary medical attention on a timely basis.
  • Conduct hourly employee performance appraisals and disciplinary procedures according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Local Operating Procedures (LSOPs).
  • Identify educational needs, develop training programs, and instruct others.
  • Maintain first aid and CPR certifications required for Security officers.
  • Implement local authority requirements for security and safety.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: 2-5 years in a security management role.
  • Ability to attend pre- and post-convention and weekly forecast meetings to gather critical information for security officers.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others.
  • Demonstrated honesty, integrity, and sound financial/business decision-making.
  • Proficiency in communicating safety procedures, ensuring employee understanding, and monitoring related processes.
  • Capability to solicit employee feedback, utilize an "open door" policy, and review employee satisfaction results to address concerns.
  • Aptitude for fostering mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Skill in identifying developmental needs, coaching, mentoring, and improving the knowledge or skills of others.
  • Ability to provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
  • Capacity to provide personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to coworkers and customers.
  • Serves as a role model for appropriate behaviors.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within the security department, working to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and property assets.
