About the Role

Oil Support Services is seeking a dedicated Petroleum Engineer to join our team in the Eastern Province. This full-time position is crucial for managing and maintaining our Exploration & Production (E&P) data, ensuring its accuracy and accessibility within the corporate database. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to facilitate efficient E&P data management across the organization. The Petroleum Engineer will be responsible for coordinating with various data owners to collect essential E&P data, performing rigorous quality assurance, and ensuring accurate uploads to the corporate database. This position plays a vital part in keeping our data current and compliant with established policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with various E&P data owners to collect and consolidate relevant data.
  • Conduct thorough quality assurance and checks on E&P data before uploading to the corporate database.
  • Accurately upload E&P data to the corporate database.
  • Ensure corporate databases are periodically updated and remain current with activities in the Petroleum Engineering Department (PED).
  • Apply approved section policies, processes, and procedures, and monitor adherence to ensure controlled work execution.
  • Execute day-to-day operations assigned for the Data Management Section, ensuring compliance with established standards and procedures.

Data Integrity and Compliance

A core aspect of this role involves upholding the integrity of E&P data. The Petroleum Engineer will ensure that all data management activities, from collection to upload and maintenance, strictly adhere to the organization's set policies, procedures, and standards. This includes continuous monitoring to ensure data remains current and reliable for all operational needs.

Required Experience

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a relevant field, preferably within petroleum engineering or E&P data management.
