Drilling Services Applications Engineer

About the Role

Baker Hughes is seeking a Drilling Services Applications Engineer for a full-time position in Dhahran, Eastern region. This role involves delivering flawless execution through pre-planning, job execution, and post-job analysis, working closely with Service Delivery Coordinators and other resources to ensure all application aspects and constraints are understood and addressed.

Role Context

As a Drilling Services Applications Engineer, you will contribute to efficient and predictable operations by ensuring projects are executed correctly the first time, and assets consistently perform at peak productivity. The role supports a portfolio enriched by digitalization, artificial intelligence, and automation capabilities that enable remote operations, reduce risk, and drive decarbonization efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the Manage the Job Cycle (MtJC) process.
• Collaborate with assigned Service Delivery Coordinators/Salespersons to understand client well construction or production objectives.
• Design well profiles and perform applications engineering tasks, including developing risk mitigation and contingency plans, to meet client objectives, maximize revenue potential, and secure future job assignments.
• Address field incidents related to products/services and participate in incident investigations when required, ensuring end-to-end process adherence.
• Provide sales support and product application recommendations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Ability to manage, develop, coach, and mentor teams across organizational boundaries.
• Availability to be on call outside of normal business hours.
• Thorough understanding of P/L and technical job planning requirements.
• Ability to travel to rig sites, customer facilities, meetings, and other locations as required.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience.
