Responsibilities

The Peer Reviewer will be responsible for evaluating scientific manuscripts within the field of oncology. Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing the novelty and originality of manuscripts, ensuring they contribute new knowledge or insights to the field.
• Evaluating the study design and methodology for appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity to ensure reproducibility.
• Conducting a thorough literature review to confirm that the manuscript incorporates and cites relevant, up-to-date research.
• Analyzing results and conclusions to determine if they are presented clearly, supported by data, and significant to the field.
• Providing constructive feedback, identifying any flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns within the manuscript.
• Recommending publication status (acceptance, revision, or rejection) to the journal editor based on a comprehensive evaluation.

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates for this role must possess a PHD and demonstrate significant experience in oncology peer review. Specific requirements include:

• A doctoral degree (PHD) in a relevant scientific field, with a specialization in Oncology.
• Between 5 to 10 years of experience in academic research, publishing, or peer review processes.
• Demonstrated ability to critically assess scientific manuscripts for originality, methodological rigor, and data integrity.
• Strong understanding of ethical guidelines in scientific publishing.
