About the Role

Fengkai Group Co., Limited is seeking a qualified individual for a part-time, remote Peer Reviewer position specializing in Orthopedics. This is a long-term, stable opportunity for professionals based in Saudi Arabia.

Role Overview

The Peer Reviewer will be responsible for critically evaluating academic manuscripts submitted for publication. This role requires a deep understanding of orthopedic research, strong analytical skills, and the ability to provide constructive feedback to authors and editors. The position is structured as part-time and supports remote work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the originality and novelty of submitted manuscripts, determining their contribution to the field of orthopedics.
  • Evaluate the appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity of study designs and methodologies to ensure reproducibility.
  • Verify that the manuscript thoroughly incorporates and cites relevant, up-to-date research within the field.
  • Analyze the presentation of results and conclusions, ensuring they are clearly stated, supported by data, and significant to the discipline.
  • Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback to authors, highlighting any flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.
  • Make recommendations regarding the publication status of the manuscript (accept, revise, or reject) to the journal editor.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in Orthopedics or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated publication record, with at least 5 papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
  • Thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles within the relevant discipline.
  • Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
