Planning Manager

About the Role

UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company is seeking a Planning Manager to oversee all staff planning and ensure the application of best practices in project controls and planning across all projects. This full-time role involves highlighting overall progress, identifying delays, and bringing areas of concern to management's attention. The Planning Manager will also provide support for delay analysis and complex project controls-related issues as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, detailing scope, schedule, budget, resources, and milestones for construction projects.
• Create and manage project schedules, including critical path analysis, resource allocation, and task sequencing to ensure timely project completion.
• Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to allocate resources such as labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors, aligning with project requirements and budget constraints.
• Identify potential risks and challenges impacting project delivery and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Assist in budget preparation and cost estimation for construction projects, monitor expenses, and implement cost control measures to optimize profitability.
• Implement quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure projects meet quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, schedules, progress reports, change orders, and meeting minutes, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement in project planning and execution, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to understand requirements, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to planning and project teams, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional development.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, codes, and permits related to construction projects, including safety standards, environmental regulations, and building codes.
• Regularly monitor project progress against planned schedules and milestones, identify deviations or delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution.
• Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in line with company and IMS policies.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience. The role requires a strong understanding of project planning principles and practices, particularly within construction projects.
