The Role of Planning Manager

AECOM is seeking a Planning Manager for a full-time position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves developing and maintaining planning and scheduling concepts, supporting project financial performance, and assisting in the management of project schedules. The Planning Manager will contribute to various aspects of project planning, from data collection to variance analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop fundamental knowledge of planning and scheduling concepts and principles, including their impact on financial performance.
• Become familiar with data sources required for schedule development.
• Identify and investigate project schedule variances.
• Collect data, update schedules, and produce scheduling reports.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
• Develop familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and construction contracting.
• Possess a fundamental understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and be able to review and understand engineering, procurement, and construction schedule logic.
• Assist in assembling data for schedule updating and measuring project schedule progress.
• Develop knowledge of scope control, change management, and earned value methodology.
• Support data gathering and produce initial analysis for schedule baseline development and maintenance.
• Gain exposure to basic scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals, concepts, and principles.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and apply planning and scheduling concepts.
• Strong analytical skills for identifying and investigating schedule variances.
