About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, *** is seeking a Pool Technician to join our engineering team in the Red Sea. This full-time position is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience, focusing on maintaining hotel facilities and ensuring guest satisfaction through prompt and effective repair services. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, responding to guest requests, and managing equipment and inventory to uphold operational standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Respond to and attend to guest repair requests, communicating effectively with guests and customers to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room machinery, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for operational integrity.
• Carry necessary equipment such as tools and radios to various work locations.
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
• Maintain maintenance inventory, requisitioning parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved programs and standards.

Technical Maintenance and Operations

• Acquire and apply basic knowledge across various categories including air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry, finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building maintenance.
• Execute surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, and light bulb and A/C filter replacement, ensuring thorough cleanup of work areas.
• Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on diverse equipment, including plumbing (*, plunging toilets, unclogging drains) and electrical components (*, lamps, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices), and replace electrical switches, outlets, and other guestroom items.
• Program televisions and conduct general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
• Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system prior to performing any maintenance work.
• Conduct repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, including external landscaping sprinklers.
• Apply basic computer skills for tasks such as inputting air handler schedules and making temperature adjustments.

Operational Standards and Safety Compliance

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Properly store flammable materials according to safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Uphold confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.

Physical Demands and General Duties

• Safely move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and heavier items with assistance.
• Navigate stairs, service ramps, and ladders as required by job tasks.
• Perform tasks requiring reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Utilize computers to enter and locate work-related information efficiently.
• Execute other reasonable job duties as requested by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or ** equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting. Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is considered a plus.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this role.
• License or Certification: A valid Driver’s License is required.
