About ATMET and the Role

ATMET, operating as AtmetChat, provides a WhatsApp automation and AI customer service platform for online stores on Salla, Zid, and Shopify. This platform utilizes the WhatsApp Business Cloud API to manage order notifications, abandoned cart recovery, automated replies, and AI agents for customer conversations with merchants across Saudi Arabia. We are seeking a Product Manager Intern to contribute to product development decisions and ensure successful feature delivery.

Role Overview

This internship involves working with a technical product. While not responsible for writing production code, the intern will engage with API documentation, troubleshoot message delivery issues, and develop specifications for engineers. The role requires an interest in understanding technical product intricacies and translating them into actionable development plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Gain in-depth knowledge of the product, including the WhatsApp Cloud API, message templates and approval processes, webhooks, and integrations with Salla, Zid, and Shopify.
• Participate in merchant calls to identify product shortcomings and translate these into prioritized work items.
• Develop clear specifications and user stories, detailing edge cases and failure scenarios, to guide engineering efforts.
• Analyze usage data to understand merchant onboarding drop-off points, automation adoption, and silent failures.
• Conduct pre-release testing, focusing on integration and delivery paths where failures have significant impact.
• Maintain accuracy of product documentation and the help center.
• Monitor developments from Salla, Zid, and competing WhatsApp platforms to identify relevant trends and features.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 year of experience in a related field.
• Ability to read API documentation and understand technical workflows.
• Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and problem identification.
• Excellent written communication skills for creating clear specifications and documentation.

Internship Details

This is a 3–6 month internship position, available on a full-time or part-time basis depending on the candidate's schedule. Interns will receive real ownership of product areas from the start and will observe features progress from initial feedback to live implementation.
