QAQC Engineer Civil

About the Role

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a QAQC Engineer - Civil to join its team. This full-time position is designed for professionals with 0-1 years of experience who are dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance and quality control in civil projects. The role focuses on implementing project quality plans, conducting thorough inspections, and maintaining strict compliance with project specifications and client requirements.

Project Quality Implementation

• Ensure the effective implementation of the Project Quality Plan (PQP) at project sites, maintaining full compliance with customer requirements.
• Plan and conduct various inspections at different project stages to obtain necessary approvals, minimize reworks, reduce time loss, and improve overall efficiency.
• Review and implement approved PQPs, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, drawings, method statements, material/equipment approvals, technical specifications, and relevant standards.
• Conduct internal inspections prior to consultant or client inspections to verify correctness against project requirements.

Material and Inspection Management

• Inspect materials and equipment upon receipt at sites to ensure compliance with Purchase Order (PO) specifications, approvals, and proper storage procedures.
• Raise Material Inspection Requests (MIR) as required and secure approval or clearance from the customer representative.
• Initiate Requests for Inspections (RFI/IR) for various works and activities at different stages, obtaining approval or clearance from the customer representative and preparing detailed inspection records.
• Verify that equipment and materials are stored and protected according to contract specifications.

Site Supervision and Non-Conformance Resolution

• Continuously supervise site activities to ensure the use of approved drawings, materials, work methods, and correct work sequences.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) or memos to Site Engineers and sub-contractors for deviations, ensuring required corrective actions are taken.
• Verify that proper corrective actions are implemented promptly to close NCRs and that preventive measures are initiated as necessary.

Documentation and Reporting

• Organize and maintain all project records in a traceable manner, including backups of soft forms.
• Coordinate with external laboratories for required tests and reports.
• Report all inspection and test results, along with any deviations, to the QAQC Head in a timely manner.
