Alfanar Projects is seeking a QA/QC Civil Engineer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on ensuring the quality and compliance of civil construction activities.

Role Purpose

The QA/QC Civil Engineer is responsible for monitoring civil construction activities to ensure strict compliance with approved drawings, specifications, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and overall quality requirements. This involves conducting site inspections, managing quality documentation, and coordinating with various teams to resolve quality issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect all civil construction activities for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and project requirements.
• Conduct inspections for reinforcement, formwork, concrete, masonry, waterproofing, backfilling, finishing works, and structural elements.
• Coordinate and raise Work Inspection Requests (WIRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), and testing requirements with the Consultant.
• Review and verify the implementation of approved Method Statements, ITPs, checklists, and Quality Control Plans.
• Monitor concrete pouring activities, including pre-pour inspections, concrete delivery, slump, temperature, sampling, curing, and post-pour inspection.
• Ensure proper control of construction materials and verify compliance with approved material submittals and technical requirements.
• Identify defects and nonconformities and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
• Prepare, issue, and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Site Observation Reports (SORs) until satisfactory closure.
• Monitor workmanship and provide technical guidance to site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with Site, Technical, Survey, Laboratory, and Consultant teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Review laboratory and third-party test reports and ensure required testing is completed and compliant.
• Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, test reports, and quality documentation.
• Participate in mock-ups, material inspections, testing, commissioning-related inspections, and final inspections.
• Identify recurring quality issues and contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Compliance: Adhere to relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Health, Safety, and Environment: Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within the defined area of work activity.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a relevant QA/QC Civil Engineering role.
