ENGINEER QA / QC CIVIL

About the Role

Alfanar Projects is seeking a Civil QA/QC Engineer to join their team in Dammam. This full-time position is responsible for performing project civil Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities efficiently and in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to quality standards, policies, and procedures to support departmental operational plans and developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement the Quality Management System (QMS) for project quality inspection and related activities, coordinating with clients, consultants, and vendors.
• Maintain system manuals, international and national standards, client specifications, technical data sheets, handbooks, product catalogues, and all relevant inspection documents.
• Verify accreditations, certifications, approvals, and profiles of vendors, external, third-party, or independent agencies.
• Maintain quality records including logbooks, QA/QC weekly reports, internal inspection reports, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Prepare quality-related documents such as Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Method of Statements (MOS), checklists, and QA/QC weekly reports.
• Implement the ALFANAR LESSON LEARNT PROGRAM to reduce punch points during project handover.
• Ensure and act on customer satisfaction monitoring and inspections.

Monitoring and Inspection Duties

• Ensure works are carried out according to Project Technical Specifications (PTS), Issued For Construction (IFC) drawings, and approved method statements.
• Confirm work is correctly prepared prior to any inspection.
• Verify that works are properly inspected at required stages as stated in the ITP or as requested by the client.
• Ensure all materials and equipment purchased for permanent installation comply with the contract, plan, PTS, and standards.
• Ensure required tests are performed and verify compliance against requirements.
• Conduct site installation inspections and material receiving inspections, reporting to the concerned authority.
• Control and monitor inspection and test requirements and data with respect to project PTS.
• Assure the maintenance and calibration of inspection testing equipment.
• Carry out inspections and testing as per plan.
• Prepare checklists and Requests For Information (RFIs) for all work for consultant approval and inspections.

Coordination and Reporting

• Coordinate with the Execution Team, Project Management, Client, and Consultant on QC-related matters.
• Liaise with independent testing laboratories for material testing, follow up on test reports, and submit them to the consultant.
• Provide quality reporting to the TQM Department and Site QA/QC reporting.
• Report quality-related matters to the Project Manager for necessary action and to the TQM Manager for information.
• Obtain, verify, and maintain quality records in a traceable, easily retrievable, and safe manner, including a proper log for QC documents.
• Verify test results, report findings, and provide recommendations to the Project Manager for necessary actions.

• Compliance: Comply with relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within the defined area of work activity.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in civil quality assurance and quality control roles.
