QC Inspector Fireproofing Project

About the Role

ABIS is seeking a QC Inspector - Fireproofing - Project to join our team. This full-time role involves ensuring the quality and compliance of passive fireproofing application activities on projects, verifying adherence to drawings, specifications, and relevant codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections of fireproofing application works.
• Verify surface preparation, primer, and fireproofing material application against specified requirements.
• Witness thickness (DFT/WFT) checks and adhesion tests as per the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
• Verify materials and batch certificates against approved specifications.
• Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when necessary.
• Coordinate hold points and inspections with client and third-party inspectors.
• Maintain comprehensive inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.
• Verify the calibration status of all measuring and test equipment, including thickness gauges, used on site.
• Support the generation of punch-lists and verify the closure of identified items for fireproofing works.
• Ensure all work fronts comply with approved method statements and fireproofing standards.
• Support the preparation of quality documentation for fireproofing handover dossiers.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience as a QC Inspector on fireproofing or coating application projects.
• A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
