QC Manager

About the Role

ABIS is seeking a QC Manager to establish and manage the project quality control system. This full-time role ensures that all piping, civil, and mechanical works adhere to contractual, code, and specification requirements through rigorous inspection, testing, and non-conformance management processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the project Quality Control Plan and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Manage and supervise QC Inspectors across piping, civil, and mechanical disciplines.
• Ensure inspections, tests, and hold points are executed according to approved ITPs and specifications.
• Review and approve inspection reports, NDE reports, and material certificates.
• Manage the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Coordinate third-party inspection, client inspection, and certification activities.
• Ensure the calibration and control of all inspection and test equipment.
• Conduct internal quality audits and site quality walkdowns.
• Compile comprehensive quality documentation for final dossiers and project handover.
• Liaise with client/consultant QA/QC representatives on all quality-related matters.
• Provide regular quality performance reporting to project management.
• Support training and awareness initiatives for QC requirements across site teams.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in quality control management, preferably within piping, civil, and mechanical works.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement quality control plans and procedures.
• Strong understanding of relevant industry codes, standards, and specifications.
• Experience in managing non-conformance processes and conducting quality audits.
