Quality Engineer

About the Role

SNC-Lavalin Fayez Engineering is seeking a Quality Engineer (Site Operations) to join their team in KSA. This full-time role focuses on ensuring that construction projects adhere to all quality control and quality assurance procedures on-site. The Quality Engineer will collaborate with site management, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor quality control processes for construction activities on-site, ensuring work aligns with approved plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Perform site inspections and coordinate testing of materials, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards, accurately recording and reporting results.
• Identify and document deviations or non-conformance issues, working with site teams to resolve quality-related issues and ensure corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain clear, accurate records of inspections, tests, reports, and non-conformance issues, preparing and submitting regular quality control reports to project managers and senior management.
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure quality standards are met during construction and to resolve any quality-related concerns.
• Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and international standards (*, ISO 9001).
• Assist in identifying areas for improvement in quality processes and contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall quality of project delivery.
• Ensure that all quality-related concerns from clients and stakeholders are addressed promptly and professionally, supporting client inspections and reviews as required.
• Provide quality awareness training to site teams, ensuring all personnel are familiar with the project's quality requirements and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in quality engineering.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in site-based roles within construction projects in the UAE or GCC region.

Work Environment

This role is based on-site within construction projects in KSA, requiring close collaboration with various teams and stakeholders to maintain quality standards.
