Repair and Maintenance Specialist III Logging While Drilling Services(LWD)

About the Role

Weatherford is seeking a Repair and Maintenance Specialist III - Logging While Drilling Services (LWD). This full-time role involves assisting with the development of a reliability-based maintenance strategy, focusing on preventive and predictive maintenance for LWD product line equipment. The specialist will work directly with the Maintenance Manager to build a reliable system and maintenance team, and collaborate with Repair and Maintenance Technicians to schedule workload.

Key Responsibilities and Activities

The primary activities for this role are workshop-based, encompassing troubleshooting, repairing, refurbishing, and implementing mandatory modifications. The specialist will also execute and/or plan preventive and corrective maintenance of field equipment and tools. This position aims to mitigate asset-related non-productive time and enhance overall field service delivery performance.

Core Duties

• Perform advanced repairs and maintenance on LWD tools and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
• Conduct thorough troubleshooting and diagnostics on LWD equipment using both manual and computerized methods.
• Collaborate with field personnel to provide on-site technical support and training as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Support the design and improvement of LWD equipment and tools by providing feedback and insights based on field experiences.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.
• Mentor and train junior technicians and other team members.
• Participate in project planning and execution, providing input on equipment selection and maintenance strategies.
• Stay updated on technological advancements in LWD systems and industry best practices.

Work Environment

While primarily workshop-based, the role may require attendance at client locations to perform R&M tasks deemed necessary for field operations.

Experience Required

Candidates should possess between 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
