About the Role

Fakeeh Care Group is seeking a Respiratory Therapy Technician to join their team in Al Madinah (Medina). This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience in a Respiratory Care Unit and involves performing a range of therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer chest physical therapy, including breathing exercises, chest percussion massage, cough training, and postural drainage.
  • Provide therapeutic gases, such as oxygen, using various administration equipment.
  • Administer bland or medication aerosols and humidification through diverse techniques and equipment.
  • Perform nasotracheal/tracheobronchial aspiration and Intermittent Positive Pressure Breathing (IPPB).
  • Monitor patients on mechanical ventilation and assist in weaning processes.
  • Assist with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, safe transportation of ventilator/oxygen-dependent patients, and emergent tracheostomy/endotracheal tube replacement.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures including pulse oximetry, bedside spirometry, Peak Flow Rate monitoring, and sputum induction.
  • Assist with complex diagnostic procedures such as simple spirometry, post-bronchodilator tests, lung volume measurements, diffusion studies, and arterial punctures.
  • Verify all ordered respiratory care against physician orders, accurately record procedures in patient charts and department logs.
  • Evaluate equipment application, monitor effectiveness of care modalities, assess for side effects, and chart data properly.
  • Educate patients and families on coping with respiratory illnesses.
  • Clean and process respiratory equipment, maintain necessary supplies, and serve as a resource for staff on respiratory care procedures and equipment.
  • Share on-call responsibilities for night shift coverage and participate in performance improvement efforts.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience: 2 years of experience in a Respiratory Care Unit.
  • Education: Diploma degree in Respiratory Therapy for Technicians.
  • Licenses/Certifications: License for practice as per regional health regulatory authority (*, SCFHS / DHA), BLS, and ACLS.

Required Skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly with patients and staff.
  • Good command of oral and written English.

The technician is expected to value interdepartmental collaboration and engage in continuous job-specific learning to reflect modern technology and current standards of practice.
