About ASMO

ASMO is a joint venture between DHL and Aramco, combining DHL’s logistics expertise with Aramco’s extensive supply chain network. The company aims to establish new standards in the procurement and supply chain sector, supporting growth across various industries. ASMO provides integrated end-to-end procurement and supply chain services for companies in the industrial, energy, chemical, and petrochemical sectors. Initially, the focus will be on Saudi Aramco and its affiliates, with long-term plans to serve all industrial sectors within Saudi Arabia and eventually expand to the MENA region.

The Role of Risk & Resilience Associate

The Risk & Resilience Associate is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing effective procurement risk management tools, processes, and procedures. This full-time role focuses on identifying potential risks, creating corrective action plans, and ensuring that vendor partnerships comply with ASMO’s policies and procedures. The position is based in Saudi Arabia and requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate procurement risk management tools, templates, methods, and processes to minimize purchasing risks and ensure adherence to ASMO’s policies.
  • Regularly review and update risk management policies and procedures related to purchasing to align with best practices.
  • Create performance metrics and checklists for evaluating vendors from a risk perspective.
  • Lead vendor risk assessments, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation plans.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assign responsibilities for monitoring and managing vendor risks effectively.
  • Contribute expertise on risk-related matters associated with partnerships during the vendor decision-making process.
  • Work with ASMO’s business functions to monitor and report contract breaches, delivery delays, or completion period delays, and assess applicable penalties.
  • Identify risks related to organizations operating in the procurement domain and joint ventures in KSA, ensuring risk mitigation controls are in place to protect ASMO’s interests.
  • Present high-risk vendor contracts and instances of ineffective controls to senior management, developing corrective action plans as needed.
  • Stay informed about developments in vendor risk management to enhance and align ASMO’s business practices with current standards.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for the Risk & Resilience Associate position should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience. The role requires a strong understanding of procurement risk management principles and the ability to develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
