About the Role

Dar Al-Hekma University is seeking a Scholarships Officer to manage and coordinate scholarship programs and contribute to student recruitment initiatives. This full-time role involves both administrative responsibilities related to financial aid and active participation in outreach efforts to prospective students. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Scholarship Administration

The Scholarships Officer is responsible for the comprehensive administration of scholarship programs, ensuring accurate evaluation, record-keeping, and reporting. This includes:

  • Evaluating applicants' financial need and eligibility for financial aid programs, and determining appropriate assistance.
  • Collecting, entering, editing, and updating scholarship applicant data in the University database.
  • Coordinating and managing scholarship applicant interviews with the Scholarship Committee.
  • Assigning approved scholarship recipients to prospective donors, as applicable.
  • Monitoring scholarship students’ academic and non-academic performance, scholarship duration, and coverage.
  • Generating and submitting scholarship progress reports to management or relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintaining and continuously updating scholarship students’ records related to registration and enrollment.
  • Preparing periodic and ad hoc reports, and generating all scholarship contracts and related documentation.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and updating scholarship forms in accordance with departmental requirements.
  • Reviewing and regularly updating scholarship policies and procedures to ensure alignment with institutional needs and regulations.

Recruitment and Outreach

This role also involves leading and contributing to the University's student recruitment strategy, ensuring effective execution and target achievement. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and contributing to the implementation of the University’s student recruitment strategy in alignment with enrollment objectives.
  • Supervising and coordinating recruitment and outreach activities to ensure effective execution, target achievement, and alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Planning, preparing, coordinating, and managing recruitment initiatives for undergraduate and postgraduate students, including Open Days, information sessions, workshops, and campus tours.
  • Representing and promoting the University to prospective students through school and organizational presentations, participation in education fairs, and direct engagement with students and parents.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with schools and organizations to promote University programs and provide pre-admission guidance.

Experience Required

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field, demonstrating a strong understanding of scholarship administration and student recruitment processes.
