About the Role

As a Senior Integration Support Specialist at Salla, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless connectivity and integration between Salla and its partners. This full-time role involves working with cross-functional teams to design and optimize integrations, enabling clients to maximize the value of Salla's software and enhance business efficiency. The position requires 2-5 years of experience, preferably within the E-commerce or SaaS domain.

Role Purpose and Impact

This role is critical for architecting scalable and efficient integration solutions while adhering to best practices and standards. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of API technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that enhance system interoperability and data exchange.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust integration architectures for smooth communication between the E-commerce SaaS platform and external systems (ERP, CRM, payment gateways, third-party applications).
• Design and maintain high-quality APIs, defining specifications and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct thorough testing of API integrations to ensure functionality, data accuracy, and error handling.
• Customize integration workflows to meet specific client requirements while maintaining scalability and reliability.
• Investigate and resolve integration-related issues promptly, providing technical support and expertise on best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to align integration efforts with product development and business objectives.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration processes, APIs, and troubleshooting guides.
• Manage API versioning and upgrades, ensuring backward compatibility when necessary.
• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in E-commerce integrations, recommending new tools to enhance capabilities.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms for API endpoints, ensuring data privacy and integrity.
• Optimize API performance, scalability, and reliability through caching, load balancing, and error handling strategies.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience (4+ years) as an Integration Engineer, preferably in the E-commerce or SaaS domain.
• Strong proficiency in API design principles and patterns.
• Expertise in integration technologies such as RESTful APIs, SOAP, Webhooks, messaging queues, and other web service technologies.
• Hands-on experience with authentication protocols such as OAuth , JWT, and OAuth/OpenID Connect.
• Strong knowledge of API security best practices, including encryption, tokenization, and identity management.
• Experience with E-commerce platforms and their APIs (*, Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce).
• Familiarity with common third-party APIs (*, payment gateways, shipping services).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members.
