About the Role

Salla is seeking a Senior Integration Support Specialist to join its team in Mecca, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves ensuring seamless connectivity and integration between Salla and its partners. The specialist will work with cross-functional teams to design and optimize integrations, helping clients maximize software value and enhance business efficiency. The position requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on architecting scalable and efficient integration solutions while adhering to best practices.

Role Context and Impact

The Senior Integration Support Specialist will play a critical role in designing and developing robust integration architectures for Salla's Ecommerce SaaS platform. This includes facilitating communication with external systems such as ERP, CRM, payment gateways, and other third-party applications. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of API technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop integration architectures for smooth communication between the Ecommerce SaaS platform and external systems.
  • Design and maintain high-quality APIs, collaborating with internal teams to define specifications and ensure industry standard compliance.
  • Conduct thorough testing of API integrations to ensure functionality, data accuracy, and error handling.
  • Work with clients to understand specific integration requirements and provide tailored, scalable, and reliable solutions.
  • Investigate and resolve integration-related issues promptly, providing technical support and expertise to clients and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to align integration efforts with product development and business objectives.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration processes, APIs, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Manage API versioning and upgrades, ensuring backward compatibility when necessary.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Ecommerce integrations, recommending new tools.
  • Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms for API endpoints, ensuring data privacy and integrity.
  • Optimize API performance, scalability, and reliability through proper caching, load balancing, and error handling strategies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (4+ years) as an Integration Engineer, preferably in the Ecommerce or SaaS domain.
  • Strong proficiency in API design principles and patterns.
  • Expertise in integration technologies such as RESTful APIs, SOAP, Webhooks, messaging queues, and other web service technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with authentication protocols such as OAuth , JWT, and OAuth/OpenID Connect.
  • Strong knowledge of API security best practices, including encryption, tokenization, and identity management.
  • Experience with Ecommerce platforms and their APIs (*, Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce).
  • Familiarity with common third-party APIs (*, payment gateways, shipping services).

Required Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members.
