About the Role

UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company is seeking a Senior Mechanical Technical Engineer for a full-time position. This role involves providing advanced technical expertise in mechanical engineering, guiding project teams, and ensuring the successful implementation of mechanical systems. The Senior Mechanical Technical Engineer will lead the design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical components, contributing to the efficiency, safety, and innovation of various projects.

Role Overview

The Senior Mechanical Technical Engineer collaborates closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client needs and industry standards. This position is central to ensuring that mechanical designs and implementations adhere to project requirements, codes, and performance specifications throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and components, ensuring adherence to project requirements, codes, and standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, including engineers, designers, and technicians, throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct detailed mechanical engineering analyses, such as stress analysis, thermal analysis, and fluid dynamics simulations, to optimize system performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to understand project requirements and develop innovative mechanical solutions that meet their needs.
  • Review and approve mechanical design documents, including drawings, calculations, and specifications, to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Perform site inspections and audits to assess the installation and operation of mechanical systems, identify deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Oversee the commissioning and testing of mechanical systems, ensuring they meet design specifications and performance requirements.
  • Provide technical support during construction, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and coordinating with subcontractors and vendors to resolve them promptly.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in mechanical engineering, incorporating them into project designs to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide training on mechanical engineering principles, software tools, and industry standards to support their professional development and growth.
  • Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.
