Solution Architect Data Centre Infrastructure

About the Role

Vertiv is seeking a Solution Architect for Data Centre Infrastructure to join its Infrastructure Solutions business unit in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is designed for data centre designers who focus on delivering infrastructure that is built, commissioned, and operated at scale. The successful candidate will represent the organization's full capabilities to customers, translating requirements into integrated, world-class data centre solutions.

Role Context and Focus

This position operates at the intersection of engineering, delivery, and client engagement, overseeing the entire journey from initial concept to real-world deployment. It requires an individual who understands both theoretical design principles and practical performance in live environments. Success in this role is built upon strong mechanical and electrical design capability across data centre systems, experience with constructed and operational facilities, and the ability to engage clients effectively to shape valuable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into solution concepts using approved architectures and standards.
• Develop technical proposals, solution descriptions, and Bills of Material.
• Provide technical input and support to the Sales team during customer engagements, presentations, and clarifications.
• Apply Vertiv reference architectures, redundancy models, and design guidelines to all solutions.
• Ensure solutions align with portfolio positioning, cost models, and delivery constraints.
• Identify and escalate any deviations from standard architectures.
• Collaborate closely with internal engineering disciplines (electrical, mechanical, controls, services) and other support functions.
• Support the smooth handover of solutions into execution phases.
• Ensure solutions meet defined technical, compliance, and customer requirements.
• Clearly highlight technical risks, assumptions, and dependencies.
• Support validation against applicable standards, such as Tier intent and redundancy philosophy.
• Capture lessons learned from executed projects and contribute feedback to improve reference designs, tools, and solution guidelines.
• Actively develop technical and commercial understanding of Vertiv’s offerings.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in data centre design and infrastructure.
• Strong mechanical and electrical design capability across data centre systems, with cross-discipline awareness.
• Experience with constructed, commissioned, and operational data centre facilities.
• Demonstrated ability to engage clients, translate requirements, and shape solutions that deliver measurable value.
