About the Role
Hill International is seeking a Sr Quantity Surveyor - Road to join our team. This full-time position involves overseeing and managing all quantity surveying aspects for road and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of our PMC projects, maintaining the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of quantity surveyors, providing guidance and support.
- Prepare and review cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents specifically for road projects.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis and provide accurate cost forecasts.
- Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Monitor and control project costs, identifying potential cost overruns and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, highlighting key milestones and project status.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve cost-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, standards, and contract conditions.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations on cost-effective solutions for road infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a specific focus on road projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional membership with a recognized institution, such as RICS or an equivalent body.
Essential Skills and Attributes
- Excellent knowledge of road construction techniques and industry practices.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in using relevant software for cost estimation and project management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail for accurate cost analysis.
Project Context and Location
The assignment duration for this role is scheduled until the end of 2026, with the possibility of extension based on project needs. The position requires a willingness to travel within Saudi Arabia for project-related activities.
