About the Opportunity

WSP Middle East is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves managing and overseeing quantity surveying activities for a major roads and highways construction project. The role offers an opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to significant infrastructure developments in the region.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the quantity surveying function for infrastructure projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to project requirements and budgets.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to project teams on all quantity surveying matters, including cost estimation, cost control, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis, tender evaluations, and value engineering exercises to optimize project costs and ensure value for money.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to develop comprehensive quantity surveying strategies and solutions tailored to project objectives.
  • Review and negotiate contracts, variations, and claims, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and contractual obligations.
  • Oversee the preparation of bills of quantities, cost reports, and financial forecasts, providing accurate and timely updates to project stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress and financial performance, identifying risks, deviations, and opportunities for improvement, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Mentor and train junior quantity surveyors, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development within the team.
  • Represent the company in client meetings, workshops, and presentations, demonstrating technical expertise and fostering positive relationships with key stakeholders.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in quantity surveying.
  • Extensive expertise in quantity surveying and construction management, particularly within major infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage quantity surveying activities effectively.
