Supervisor Engineering

About the Role

Sheraton is seeking a Supervisor-Engineering to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of tools, appliances, and equipment. This full-time role involves ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to safety standards within the facility. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience, including supervisory responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment, and recommend replacements as needed.
• Calibrate controls, gauges, and meters, and identify/operate all shut-off valves.
• Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies, maintaining inventory and purchase order logs.
• Inspect tools, equipment, or machines, and utilize computers for work-related information.
• Operate power lifts and complete life safety checklists, including fire-pump and generator run tests.
• Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems, and assist in developing disaster response protocols.
• Respond to and address guest repair requests promptly.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Ensure compliance with company and safety/security policies, report hazards or incidents, and complete required safety training.
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and positive working relationships with colleagues.
• Identify and implement improvements for organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.

Physical Requirements

• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a related field.
• Supervisory Experience: At least 2 years of supervisory experience.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within the engineering department, requiring active participation in daily operations and team collaboration to achieve common goals and maintain high service standards.
