Role Summary

The Sustainability & Environmental Supervisor, a Saudi National, supports the implementation and maintenance of sustainability and environmental programs at the property level. This full-time role involves ensuring compliance with company standards, local regulations, owner requirements, and destination environmental commitments. The position requires 0-1 years of experience and focuses on monitoring environmental performance, coordinating initiatives, and assisting operational departments in reducing environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the property's sustainability strategy, initiatives, and action plans.
• Monitor environmental practices across various operational departments.
• Assist departments in identifying opportunities to reduce environmental impact and improve resource efficiency.
• Support environmental initiatives related to energy, water, waste, biodiversity, responsible sourcing, and pollution prevention.
• Promote environmentally responsible operational practices while maintaining service and guest experience standards.
• Track progress against established property sustainability targets and maintain relevant documentation.
• Monitor waste segregation practices, ensuring appropriate separation, storage, handling, and disposal.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable environmental laws, regulations, permits, and company requirements.
• Conduct routine environmental inspections and report risks or non-compliance.
• Support environmental protection measures for sensitive natural environments and promote responsible operational practices.
• Collect environmental data, prepare monthly and periodic sustainability performance reports, and maintain accurate records.
• Support sustainability orientation and awareness programs for associates, promoting responsible behaviors.
• Work with Procurement and operational departments to support environmentally responsible purchasing.
• Follow all company and property policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Communicate environmental standards and requirements effectively with departments and management.
• Identify opportunities to improve sustainability performance and recommend practical improvements.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 0-1 years of experience in a related field.
• Ability to support the implementation and maintenance of sustainability and environmental programs.
• Proficiency in monitoring environmental performance and maintaining records.
• Capability to conduct inspections and coordinate sustainability initiatives.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with various operational departments.
• Adherence to company and property policies, including safety, security, and environmental procedures.
• Ability to prepare accurate and professional written reports and correspondence.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role involves working closely with various teams, including Engineering, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Culinary, Procurement, Recreation, and Landscaping. The position requires moving through all areas of the property to conduct inspections, including kitchens, engineering areas, waste areas, and natural environments. The ability to stand, walk, or move for extended periods and use computers for data management is essential.
