About FieldCore and GE Vernova

FieldCore, a GE Vernova company, is seeking a TFA Controls to join its team in Saudi Arabia. GE Vernova is a global energy company focused on Power, Wind, and Electrification. FieldCore operates within GE Vernova’s Gas Power business, which engineers advanced, efficient natural gas-powered technologies and services. As part of the Gas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore installs, maintains, and upgrades power generation equipment, supporting operators of the world’s energy infrastructure to provide reliable and affordable energy.

The Lead TFA Controls Position

This full-time Lead TFA Controls role contributes to the management of site activities at customer power generating facilities. The position involves planning, organizing, integrating, and monitoring resources such as labor, tools, and technical assistants to ensure work scopes are completed according to contractual requirements. The Lead TFA will operate within defined parameters, making decisions, applying complex concepts, and resolving issues through immediate action or short-term planning. Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience and have completed Level III competencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, perform, and coordinate site activities, including the installation of systems and equipment, ongoing preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration.
  • Respond to requests for emergency repairs and services for problematic equipment.
  • Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at customer sites.
  • Perform administrative functions such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, and preparing job status, customer, timesheet, and expense reports accurately and promptly.
  • Sign off on all changes and maintain a strong safety mindset to ensure executed work reflects technical requirements within GE safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and provide routine maintenance checkout for a wide range of equipment vintages.
  • Coach, mentor, and train other team members as required, to impart and perpetuate field engineering and product knowledge.
  • Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and as a reference for future outages.
  • Ensure all parts needed for the job are shipped to the site and perform walk-downs during installation to ensure customer contractors are working effectively.
  • Perform aftermarket upgrades that need to be executed at the site.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to service and quality.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Completion of Level III competencies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in troubleshooting and providing routine maintenance checkout for various equipment vintages.
  • Proven ability to manage site activities, including planning, organizing, integrating, and monitoring resources.
  • Strong administrative skills for technical reporting, material ordering, and financial documentation.
  • Commitment to safety standards and driving customer satisfaction.
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, and training team members.

Work Environment and Expectations

This role requires extensive travel to and from projects and various field assignments. Candidates must have the ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required by field assignments. The position operates within customer power generating facilities, demanding adaptability and responsiveness to on-site requirements.
