About the Role

Tanmiah Food Company is seeking a dedicated and experienced VET to join our team. This full-time position is integral to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality within our poultry production operations. The role requires a professional with 2-5 years of relevant experience in veterinary practice, particularly within a food production context.

Role Purpose

The primary objective of this role is to ensure the consistent provision of quality, safe, and wholesome poultry meat and its products to consumers. This involves rigorous oversight and adherence to established standards throughout the entire plant production process, safeguarding public health and product integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect birds in strict accordance with the guidelines outlined in the ADC Animal Welfare Manual.
• Maintain and uphold all established standards and specifications for poultry meat inspection, encompassing both Postmortem and Pre-mortem procedures.
• Coordinate and cooperate effectively with Quality Assurance (* team members and the Department Head to ensure the achievement of departmental objectives.
• Provide an unbiased and independent view during all poultry meat inspections, ensuring fairness and transparency to both the plant and the farm operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in Veterinary Medicine from a recognized institution.
• 2-5 years of professional experience in veterinary practice, ideally with exposure to food safety, animal welfare, or poultry production environments.

Professional Conduct and Collaboration

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong collaborative skills, working closely with internal teams to meet stringent quality objectives. A critical aspect of this role involves maintaining professional integrity and providing independent, objective assessments to ensure compliance and fairness across all operational aspects, from farm to plant.
