About the Role

Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group is seeking an X-Ray Technologist to perform high-standard imaging examinations. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of experience and involves working in close coordination with radiologists and other physicians, often without direct supervision. The technologist will be responsible for producing diagnostic quality medical images while adhering to best practices and safety protocols.

Job Purpose

The primary objective of this position is to conduct imaging examinations to a high standard, ensuring diagnostic quality with minimal radiation exposure. The technologist is expected to continuously update their knowledge in line with professional best practices and exercise independent professional judgment and initiative in their work. Compliance with all rules and policies is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Treat patients courteously and collaborate harmoniously with colleagues, patients, and other hospital staff.
• Position patients appropriately for each imaging examination.
• Select suitable radiation exposure factors and utilize special features of imaging modalities as required for individual cases.
• Assist, with appropriate training and supervision, in the intravenous injection of radiographic contrast when necessary.
• Promptly activate local emergency codes when required and ensure the physical safety of all patients, including never leaving patients unattended in controlled radiation areas.
• Adhere to best practice radiation protection guidance and comply with all relevant radiation protection guidelines.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images, appropriately presented for interpretation by Radiologists.
• Remain in designated work areas and be accessible at all times during scheduled duty periods.
• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of imaging equipment and surrounding areas.
• Demonstrate flexibility in work schedules to meet the demands of hospital healthcare delivery.
• Provide patient and family education as needed.
• Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by the Medical Group.
• Enrich patient experience through compassion, respect, and dignity.
• Perform other miscellaneous related duties applicable to the Radiology Department as requested by the Head of Radiology.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a relevant role.
• Demonstrated ability to perform imaging examinations to a high standard.
• Proficiency in selecting appropriate radiation exposure factors and utilizing imaging modalities.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and updating knowledge in line with best practices.
