The Role of Project Engineer Electrical

ICMS Group is seeking a Project Engineer Electrical to manage and coordinate electrical engineering activities for industrial projects. This full-time, hybrid role is based in Al Jubail, Eastern Province. The successful candidate will ensure all project activities comply with technical standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the engineering lifecycle for corporate electrical CAPEX projects, from Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) through to commissioning.
  • Manage Tier-1 EPC contractors, including reviewing design packages and resolving any design conflicts that may arise.
  • Approve critical electrical documentation such as electrical drawings, substation layouts, single-line diagrams, and protection coordination schemes.
  • Ensure absolute compliance with SABIC Engineering Standards (SES), IEC, and IEEE codes throughout all project phases.
  • Oversee technical evaluations for the procurement of critical High Voltage (HV), Medium Voltage (MV), and Low Voltage (LV) equipment, including switchgears, transformers, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
  • Prepare comprehensive Scopes of Work (SOW) and cost estimations, and lead technical bid evaluations for project components.
  • Drive strict Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) frameworks, actively participating in HAZOP and risk assessment reviews.

Candidate Qualifications and Experience

  • Must be registered with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
  • Possess a proven track record of working from an owner/operator corporate head office or handling major EPC projects.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Al Jubail, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. The role requires a combination of office presence and flexibility for remote work.
