Marco is seeking a Procurement Engineer (MEP) to join its team in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. This full-time position is integral to managing procurement activities for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects within the construction industry.

Role Overview

The Procurement Engineer (MEP) will be responsible for overseeing material approvals and procurement processes, ensuring alignment with project schedules and allocated budgets. This role requires close coordination with various project stakeholders to facilitate the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish material submittal registers to ensure all materials approvals and procurement activities are properly scheduled and allocated to the appropriate budget items in the Bill of Quantities.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, MEP Manager, and Procurement Manager to ensure material submittal registers are properly issued, cost-coded, and authorized.
• Execute the procurement and distribution of all permanent and temporary works materials from reputable suppliers to subcontractors.
• Coordinate with the Procurement Coordinator and Project Manager/Director to ensure timely approval of materials and mock-ups, in accordance with the Construction Programme requirements.
• Ensure cost-effective and timely sourcing services are provided to achieve time and budgeted objectives.
• Maintain professional relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and other project staff.
• Provide necessary feedback to the Technical Director, Project Manager, and Bidding Manager as and when required.
• Support the preparation of bids in close collaboration with the Estimating Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience in the construction industry, specifically in similar procurement roles.

Work Location

This full-time position is based in Al Khobar, within the Eastern Region.
