About the Role

Weatherford is seeking a Repair Machine Champion to join our team in Al Khobar, Eastern. This full-time role is central to coordinating and executing machine shop repairs for damaged, nonconforming, and rework components. The successful candidate will ensure safe, compliant, and timely repair execution, contributing significantly to operational continuity and cost savings.

Role Purpose and Impact

The Repair Machine Champion provides end-to-end ownership across the technical scope, supplier alignment, inspection requirements, documentation, and delivery follow-up for all repair activities. This position is critical in improving repair turnaround times, reducing dependency on Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and enabling the cost-effective recovery of assets. The role directly supports the maintenance of operational efficiency and contributes to overall cost reduction initiatives within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the entire repair process for damaged, nonconforming, and rework components, ensuring alignment with operational needs.
• Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, component conditions, and historical repair data to define comprehensive repair scopes, methods, limits, and acceptance criteria.
• Serve as the primary liaison with machine shop suppliers, communicating requirements, expectations, priorities, inspection protocols, and delivery timelines.
• Coordinate with R&M, Engineering, Quality Control, Operations, and Supply Chain departments to ensure seamless repair execution, documentation, logistics, and system updates.
• Verify that repaired components undergo thorough inspection and validation against defined scope requirements, including dimensional, visual, and Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) inspections as applicable.
• Maintain detailed repair trackers, monitor progress, identify potential risks or delays, and provide timely status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Support logistics coordination for the movement of tools, components, and repaired items to meet operational demands.
• Identify failure trends, evaluate supplier performance gaps, and propose improvement opportunities to enhance quality, cycle time, and cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with global stakeholders to provide accurate repair data, assess cost impacts, and ensure alignment with the Global Repair Catalog.
• Collaborate with other Repair Machine Champions to share best practices and contribute to the development of repair capabilities across the organization.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role, demonstrating a strong background in machine shop repairs and coordination within an industrial or energy services environment.
