About the Role

Al Tuwairqi Group is seeking an Operator, Slag Handling, to join our team in Dammam. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on overseeing slag handling operations within the SMS area, ensuring safety and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee slag handling operations in the SMS area, including slag and tapping pits located under furnaces.
Ensure the smooth movement of the Ladle Transfer Car (LTC) by performing track cleaning and maintenance.
Conduct housekeeping duties and maintain cleanliness around the Electric Arc Furnace (EAF), slag pits, and surrounding areas.
Manage the safe cooling of hot slag at dumping areas using water shower methods.
Support shutdown activities through the cleaning of pits, quenching towers, and chamber areas.
Assist in emergency situations, such as slag overflow, and ensure safe working conditions are maintained.
Adhere to company safety rules and Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) policies, ensuring the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Report unsafe conditions and accidents, and provide support for other operational and housekeeping tasks as required.

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in slag handling or similar industrial operations.
Demonstrated understanding of safety protocols and HS&E policies.
Ability to operate and maintain equipment related to slag handling.

Work Environment

This role is based in Dammam and operates on a full-time schedule within an industrial setting, requiring adherence to strict safety guidelines and operational procedures.
