AI Engineer

About the Role

Hays is seeking an AI Engineer to join a client's newly established Data & AI Office in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time position involves taking ownership of building, hardening, and scaling production-grade AI applications within an enterprise Azure environment. The role requires 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy production RAG services, vector store integrations, and multi-agent orchestrations, including task decomposition, tool calling, and state management, in collaboration with specialist partners.
• Develop robust Python microservices/APIs and functional TypeScript/React interfaces for investment professionals, covering full-stack engineering requirements.
• Build model-agnostic inference wrappers, automated failover routing, parameterized guardrail modules, and cost/token control gateways.
• Implement prompt-injection defenses, schema-allowlisted read-only queries, managed identities, private networking, and change-managed CI/CD pipelines to ensure security and governance.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in AI engineering or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated ability to build, harden, and scale production-grade AI applications.
• Experience with RAG services, multi-agent systems, and enterprise Azure environments.
• Proficiency in Python for microservices/APIs and TypeScript/React for front-end development.

Compensation and Benefits
