About the Role

alfanar is seeking a fresh graduate Electrical Engineer to join their team in the East Region, specifically in Dammam. This full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to the company's extensive operations in construction and manufacturing, design and development, and various facilities across the Middle East and beyond. alfanar is involved in electrical, electromechanical, and civil engineering construction, as well as the manufacturing and marketing of electrical construction products and allied engineering services, with key divisions including alfanar electric, alfanar Construction, and alfanar Building Systems.

Job Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to effectively plan, control, and monitor the execution of electrical-related project tasks. The focus is on ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, within defined timelines, and to established quality standards, in alignment with departmental operational plans and developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute erection, testing, and commissioning of Power and Distribution transformers at site and factory locations.
• Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and testing of power and distribution transformers.
• Inspect incoming transformers and conduct necessary tests.
• Verify the availability of all transformer accessories.
• Check impact recorders and collect data from them.
• Assess requirements for cranes or other equipment for transformer assembly or disassembly at sites and the factory.
• Conduct routine electrical tests of transformers in the factory and at site according to international standards.
• Perform low voltage electrical tests at the site.
• Plan daily site activities to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Execute the erection of transformer accessories, vacuuming, and oil filtration following established quality procedures.
• Conduct in-process testing of transformers during various stages of repair or manufacturing.
• Coordinate with marketing, planning, and customers for gate passes and work permits necessary for job execution.
• Ensure best practices are followed for the testing of Power and Distribution transformers.

Role Accountabilities

• HR Proficiency: Train and lead subordinates, delegate tasks effectively, and foster team cohesion to achieve work objectives.
• Delivery: Execute planned activities to meet operational and development targets within scheduled timelines, utilizing resources efficiently for cost and time objectives. Provide periodic reports detailing deviations and task execution.
• Problem-Solving: Resolve arising problems and escalate complex operational issues as needed.
• Quality: Ensure quality requirements are met by developing effective quality control processes and specifications.
• Business Process Improvement: Coordinate well-defined systems, policies, and procedures, and identify opportunities for automation.
• Compliance: Adhere to relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and high-quality product/service delivery.

Work Environment and Requirements

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, East Region. The role requires a fresh graduate with 0-1 years of experience. The position involves hands-on execution of electrical engineering tasks related to transformers, requiring both site and factory work. Successful candidates will be expected to adhere to company policies and safety standards.
